PROMOTING RV TRAVEL
On December 21, 2018, Orange RV (China's first recreational vehicle travel mobile Internet platform) held a press conference promoting integrated RV travel resources and presenting the latest trend in domestic tourism for recreational vehicle travel.
The news conference was coorganised by Orange RV, Huaxianzi International Travel Agency and Pixshow Technology. Participants included leaders, experts and representatives from China's international travel agencies, online travel agencies and related government agencies from across the country. The Orange RV mobile Internet platform provides a neworke of RVS for self-drive holidays and its camps. Organisers hope that Orange RV'S service system can integrate with domestic tourist destinations and travel agencies to create a new sightseeing experience—safer, simpler, easier and more comfortable RV travel.
Along with China's economic growth, spending by Chinese tourists is also increasing year-on-year. By the end of June 2018, China had 2.8 billion visits by domestic tourists, representing a growth of 11.4 percent on the same period in the previous year; and revenue from domestic tourism reached 2.45 trillion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 12.5 percent. Sightseeing is soon to enter the era of self-drive RV travel in China. Self-drive RV travel has become a new trend in China's tourism development and RV travel is a sign of the maturity of self-drive tourism in the country's growing tourism industry.
Orange RV invited experts from domestic tourism service agencies and local government leaders to participate in the news conference. It presented developments in RV travel, focusing on “Internet Plus RV Travel” to exchange ideas and explore RV travel in preparation for it entering public life, whilst redefining operations models for self-drive RV tourism.
Orange RV Co-founder and CEO Tom Young introduced the company's current situation and its future development; and its co-founder and CTO Xu Fan talked about how an online platform can integrate the tourism industry resources to create a new experience of self-drive RVS.
Co-founder and COO of Orange RV, Liang Xuejia; senior executive of Ctrip, Wang Chen; general manager of Shanhaibian Travel Agency, Li Jun; partner of Feiyang Holiday Travel, Gao Lu; and general manager of China CYTS Tours Holding Co., Ltd's, Zhao Ninan discussed how to use online resources to create a safer, more convenient and comfortable RV travel experience for consumers.
Orange RV showcased the integration of its resources with other industries based on its development idea of being “safer, more convenient and comfortable.” Orange RV combines mobile Internet with RV travel and tourism resources, including unifying the standards of facilities and service specifications in RV camps, strengthening RV driver training and certification, and establishing an emergency rescue system combining road and air transportation for RV travel across the country. This is to be done with one- click booking, self- driving experiences, returning vehicles in different cities, one- stop service, package service, hotel- style service and concierge service. Three travel itineraries presented by Orange RV received positive feedback from the travel agencies in attendance, with representatives signing documents of intent for cooperation with Orange RV.
