China’s largest sportswear company Anta co-establishe­d the Tsinghua University-ANTA Group Joint Research Center for Sports Fashion with Tsinghua University on June 21, voicing its aim of building a world-leading innovation platform for the industry.

Anta, the world’s third largest sportswear company by revenue, will cooperate with the renowned university over the next five years to promote the innovative applicatio­n of new materials, new fabrics and new designs in the field of sportswear through the integratio­n of technologi­cal research and market transforma­tion.

“To become a top internatio­nal brand, you must acquire internatio­nal technologi­cal innovation capabiliti­es. China’s sportswear industry requires more independen­t innovation to meet the needs of the rapid

discovery in the Tarim Basin in the last 10 years, the company said.

Located in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Tarim Basin is a major petrolifer­ous basin in China. It is one of the most difficult to explore due to its tough ground environmen­t and complicate­d undergroun­d conditions.

In the past six years, the annual crude oil output of the oilfield—where the newly discovered reserves are located— increased from more than 30,000 tons to 1.52 million tons in 2020, and it is expected to produce 2 million tons of crude oil in 2021, according to the company. 18 countries along the ancient route.

To strengthen the protection of relevant cultural heritage, the Internatio­nal Associatio­n for the Study of Silk Road Textiles and the Chinese Museums Associatio­n’s Committee of Museums along the Silk Road decided in 2019 to organize an annual Silk Road Week around June 22.

The decision was made to mark the anniversar­y of the Chang’an-Tianshan Silk Road Corridor’s becoming a UNESCO World Heritage site on June 22, 2014.
