Optics Valley to build 3 new parks this year
A series of tree planting activities between March 10 and 12 took place in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone. Nearly 1,000 citizens took part in the activities at Baozixi Park, a park currently under construction. With a total cost of about RMB 1.45billion, the park is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
In the Wuhan East Lake Hightech Development Zone, there are already eight parks, such as the Longshanxi Park and the Yunhu Park as well as a 120-kilometer greenway in the Future City and Biolake.
This year plans are to build three new parks, namely Baozixi Park, Xinghe Park, and Yulonghe Park, adding another 150,000 square meters of green space. Meanwhile, a 20-km greenway will be built to connect the parks and communities. The construction of a greenway around Jiufeng Mountain is also set to begin.
