Huawei Wuhan R&D Base in use

Huawei Wuhan R&D Base was put into use on April 1. The base is lo­cated in the Wuhan Fu­ture City. It has a floor space of 540,000 square me­ters and can ac­com­mo­date 10,000 em­ploy­ees. The base will be Huawei's ma­jor global op­ti­cal R&D cen­ter and ter­mi­nal de­vice R&D cen­ter.

Huawei's Wuhan Re­search Cen­ter is able to at­tract some of the top tal­ent in Cen­tral China which is to be found in the sur­round­ing uni­ver­si­ties and sci­en­tific re­search in­sti­tutes. The cen­ter will fo­cus on the four ma­jor fields of op­ti­cal com­mu­ni­ca­tion, home ter­mi­nals, Tablet PCs, and soft­ware. It aims to be­come an op­ti­cal R&D cen­ter and a mo­bile phone cus­tomiza­tion and main­te­nance cen­ter.
