Waste-sorting guide book for students

- By Tao Changning

The Qiaokou District CityManagement Committee sent a special course book to the pupils at Chongrenlu PrimarySchool on April 14. This is the first such book that the cityhas compiled for schoolchildren.

The book is made up of four sections and is 48 pages long. It was designed with lots of interaction for children as theyread through. At home, the students can keep track of the amount and kinds of trash theyhave produced in a day. By doing the various matching exercises listed in the book, theycan become more familiar with the four categories of waste. The committee hopes that the children can not onlylearn about waste management, but help their parents sort out the trash on a daily basis.
