Wuhan ju­nior golfer ranks among top three na­tion­ally

The Third Wuhan Ju­ve­nile Golf Car­ni­val and the 2018 Wuhan Ju­nior Golf In­vi­ta­tional Tour­na­ment, themed on the 2019Wuhan Mil­i­tary World Games, was held at the course of Jiny­inhu In­ter­na­tional Golf Club on May 28. Nearly 100 pri­mary and sec­ondary school stu­dents com­peted against each other in five age groups.

The Wuhan Ju­ve­nile Golf Car­ni­val is open to all ado­les­cents in the city free of charge and fo­cuses on train­ing the ba­sic skills of im­prov­ing the stance, hold­ing and swing­ing the club, and other skills. The num­ber of young peo­ple participating in the event has in­creased from the ini­tial 120 to over 300 over the last three years. Ac­cord­ing to Tu Hao, a coach of the Wuhan Ju­ve­nile Golf Team, some young par­tic­i­pants have played golf for over seven years and the best re­sult so far was 69-shot par, rank­ing among the top three in the coun­try.
