French con­sulate cel­e­brates 20 years in Wuhan

Chi­nese and French rep­re­sen­ta­tives from all walks of life at­tended the 2018 French Na­tional Day cel­e­bra­tion in Wuhan on July 14. The event was hosted by the Con­sul Gen­eral of the Con­sulate Gen­eral of France in Wuhan.

The Con­sul Gen­eral, Olivier Guy­on­va­rch, said that this year's French Na­tional Day is spe­cial be­cause it marks the 20th an­niver­sary of the found­ing of the Con­sulate Gen­eral of France in Wuhan. He de­scribed Wuhan as a wise choice for French in­vest­ment, and briefed the au­di­ence on ma­jor cul­tural and eco­nomic projects or­ga­nized by the Con­sulate Gen­eral this year in Cen­tral China. He also ex­pressed his hope to fur­ther pro­mote French-Chi­nese co­op­er­a­tion.

Guests were sur­prised by the screen­ing of a short video from the re­al­ity show "Chi­nese Restau­rant (Sea­son 2)" which is cur­rently air­ing on Hu­nan TV. The show was filmed in Col­mar, France, and as­sis­tance was given by the Con­sulate Gen­eral. The cast of the show, Zhao Wei, Shu Qi, Alec Su, Karry Wang and Bai Ju­gang, all sent their con­grat­u­la­tions for the 20th an­niver­sary through the video.
