"The Wind Guardians," a domestic animated movie anticipated to be a blockbuster on par with "Monkey King: Hero is Back," will be released nationwide on August 3.

The film tells the adventure of a blind boy named Lang Ming who saves the world from the taotie, one of the "four evil creatures of the world," by wielding the magic of "The Wind Guardians." The world of the film is said to be derived from the scheme of the Wu Xing or the Five Elements. Wind, a special power in addition to the Wu Xing, serves as a key role in the plot progression.

The preview screening of the film has taken place. Critics and celebrities such as Xu Zheng and Huang Bo recommended the film for its originality and fun. So far, the film has scored 9.2 and 9.4 on social platforms Taopiaopiao and Maoyan.
