An Yueqi is a Ph.D. candidate at Huazhong Agricultural University and is now engaged in a joint Ph.D. program, studying at Oregon State University in the U.S. She was once the executive vice leader of the Benyu Volunteer Service Team of the university and taught children in Guizhou for one year. Even though she is now studying thousands of miles away in the U.S., she tries to help the children she once taught in some other ways.

During her doctoral study in China, An organized her classmates to write letters to the children, encouraging them to study hard. While in the U.S., An did some specialized comparative analysis of volunteer service between China and the U.S. She posted her study results on the official website of Huazhong Agricultural University to encourage more people to join in the volunteer service.
