Wuhan's first road to honor scientist
Li Shizhen Road officially opened to traffic in the Biolake, Optics Valley, on August 23. It is the first road in Wuhan that has been named after an ancient medical scientist.
This year marks the 500th birthday of Li Shizhen, a medical scientist and pharmacist of the Ming dynasty.
The road is 680 meters in length and nine meters wide.
