Pro­fes­sional rider be­comes fresh­man

On Au­gust 31, Wuhan Busi­ness Univer­sity (WBU) wel­comed a well­known fresh­man, Yu Cheng­hao. In­flu­enced by his fa­ther, Yu be­gan his in­ter­est in horses at the age of 10, and is now a sec­ond-level rider in the In­ter­na­tional Eques­trian Fed­er­a­tion (FEI). He has par­tic­i­pated in many ma­jor do­mes­tic and in­ter­na­tional eques­trian com­pe­ti­tions such as FEI World Cup Jump­ing events - China League Fi­nal, the Aranya Cup Mas­ter Grand Prix and many oth­ers.

The 17-year-old Yu from Shanxi Prov­ince has cho­sen the ma­jor of Eques­trian Sports and Man­age­ment. As one of the few uni­ver­si­ties in China that have an eques­trian dis­ci­pline, Wuhan Busi­ness Univer­sity also boasts a world-class stud-farm. Yu said, "China en­joys a huge de­vel­op­ment mar­ket in the eques­trian in­dus­try. I will work hard to be­come a do­mes­tic first­class rider soon."
