Changjiang Weekly - - CULTURE - By Zhou Manzhen

An oilpainting exhibition by artists Zhang Qitian, Zhu Xiaoguo, and Kou Tian kicked off at Tanghu Art Museum on August 29. The exhibition displays 86 oil paintings by the three Wuhan artists.

Zhang has worked and lived in Beijing for a long time. It is his first exhibition in his hometown, Wuhan. A frequent image that appears in his paintings is an old-fashioned bus.

Another artist Zhu impresses the audience with his poetic style that pervades his works with a sentiment of vagueness and aestheticism. Kou, on the other hand, employs abstract art in his "The Universe's Will" series.

The free exhibition will continue untilSeptember 20.
