Jiefang Park Art Museum unveiled its exhibition "Drawing Hong Kong with Chinese Characters" on August 29. The exhibition displays 96 pieces of work co-created by students from the Schoolof Arts and Design of Wuhan Technology and Business University, Hong Kong Design Institute, and the Schoolof VisualArts of Hong Kong Baptist University.

Xu Zhengbing, head of the project "Drawing China with Chinese Characters," said that the works on view show creative ideas of designers and college students from Wuhan and Hong Kong. Hong Kong elements are incorporated into each stroke of these visual characters and graphics. For example, the four Chinese characters "购物天堂 (shopping paradise)" combine elements such as handbags, high heels, and shopping buildings. One can also find symbols of mahjong, bars, and shop signs in the three words of "兰桂坊( Lan Kwai Fong)."

The exhibition will last until late September.
