Hubei builds Africa's first waste-to-en­ergy plant

As the first waste-to-en­ergy power plant in Africa and the first pro­ject in the field of en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion be­tween China and Ethiopia, Rep­pie waste-to-en­ergy power plant, built by Hubei Hongyuan Power En­gi­neer­ing Co., Ltd., was put into op­er­a­tion on Septem­ber 3. Lo­cated in a land­fill in Ad­dis Ababa, the cap­i­tal of Ethiopia, the plant can in­cin­er­ate 1,200 tons of waste daily.

Hubei Hongyuan Power En­gi­neer­ing Co., Ltd. has com­pleted a num­ber of ther­mal-power, hy­dropower and large trans­former sub­sta­tions in more than 40 coun­tries and re­gions.
