Wuhan alumni from Shen­zhen to in­vest in 40 projects

An ac­tiv­ity was held in Shen­zhen on Septem­ber 4 to in­vite alumni en­trepreneurs to bring their wis­dom and cap­i­tal to in­vest in Wuhan.

Over 100 en­trepreneurs from world-known en­ter­prises like Huawei, TCL and Zowee as well as some distin­guished alumni from uni­ver­si­ties in Wuhan, par­tic­i­pated in the event.

In to­tal, 40 projects with an in­vest­ment value of RMB 101.9 bil­lion were signed. More than half of the projects signed are re­lated to high-end man­u­fac­tur­ing and mod­ern ser­vice in­dus­tries.

Start­ing last year, 11 ac­tiv­i­ties re­lated to the same pur­pose have been held in Wuhan. Up to now, over 5,300 alumni have signed onto more than 350 projects with an in­vest­ment value of ap­prox­i­mately RMB 1.5 tril­lion.

Since the be­gin­ning of this year, the govern­ment has dis­patched work del­e­ga­tions to Ja­pan, the Re­pub­lic of Korea and Europe, ne­go­ti­at­ing 44 projects with an in­vest­ment value of RMB 25.04 bil­lion. Ad­di­tion­ally, the govern­ment has es­tab­lished six alumni ser­vice work­sta­tions (com­mu­ni­ca­tion sta­tions for over­seas ta­lent), and has pro­moted Wuhan East Lake High-Tech De­vel­op­ment Zone with Vi­borg, Den­mark, to jointly build the Sino-Dan­ish High­Tech Co­op­er­a­tion Zone.
