First sta­dium for Mil­i­tary World Games com­pleted

The fenc­ing hall for the mod­ern pen­tathlon com­pe­ti­tion of the Mil­i­tary World Games (MWG) was com­pleted at Wuhan Busi­ness Univer­sity on Septem­ber 12, the first of such sta­di­ums fin­ished in 2018.

Among the 35 sta­di­ums on the con­struc­tion sched­ule, eight have al­ready reached the re­quire­ments of the in­ter­na­tional event, two have been com­pleted and are ready for in­spec­tion, 24 are un­der con­struc­tion, and one is await­ing con­struc­tion. Among the 24 sta­di­ums un­der con­struc­tion, 16 have con­cluded their main struc­tures. Most of the sta­di­ums have started fa­cil­ity in­stal­la­tions and the dec­o­ra­tion.

Most of the fa­cil­i­ties are sched­uled to be ready be­fore 2019 the Hankou Cul­tural and Sports Cen­ter by the end of this month, the eques­trian ring and nata­to­rium at Wuhan Busi­ness Univer­sity by Oc­to­ber, Wuhan Sta­dium, Wuhan Sports Univer­sity Sta­dium and an­other 13 projects by De­cem­ber. By next April, six more projects such as the MWG Ath­letes Vil­lage and the Wuhan Sports Cen­ter will also be ready for use.
