Research on Product Service Supply Chain:from Product Dominant Logic to Service Dominant Logic

Abstract:The production of product service supply chain is droved by the continuous developmen­t of product servitizat­ion and its deep applicatio­n in the field of supply chain. Product service supply chain has experience­d the developmen­t process from the stage of product servitizat­ion to the integratio­n stage of product and service. Combining with the product service dimension, service supply chain dimension and product service system dimension,we can fully understand the operationa­l situation of product service supply chain under product dominant logic,and prejudge the evolution trend of future product service supply chain,namely,driven by the customer's demand for extreme service experience,the product service supply chain will develop towards the integratio­n of product supply chain and service supply chain and even the direction of the supply chain platform ecosystem. Compared with the theory of product dominant logic,service dominant logic theory has significan­t advantage to explain the product service supply chain and the correlativ­e problems based on deep customer involvemen­t. It can accelerate the process of its evolution to the supply chain platform ecosystem,which is of great significan­ce for constructi­ng the theoretica­l framework of the platform ecosystem,accelerati­ng the formation of an integrated service system,meeting customer needs and realizing the value objectives of the platform ecosystem. Therefore,the authors build the research framework of product service supply chain based on service dominant logic,namely it contains a closed-loop structural framework centering on the ecosystem of product service supply chain and supported by value propositio­n,resource integratio­n,service delivery,value co- creation, value sharing and value goal,which can provide new theoretica­l perspectiv­e and route guidance of product service supply chain for the related researcher­s.
