Abstract： The variability， complexity and digital industrialization of market demands have promoted the digital transformation of the logistics industry. The development of China’s research on logistics has experienced the“big logistics theory”and“logistics system theory”，and now the“digital logistics theory”. Digital logistics adopts digital technology and faces all elements and processes of logistics，and optimizes the logistics system to realize the digitization of logistics management processes，management methods，and management techniques to improve supply chain logistics services and efficiency levels， and reduce the full element logistic costs of the supply chain ，value chain，and industrial chain. The core of digital logistics is to change the traditional logistics with the help of digital technologies ；and the development of that experiences the stages of 1.0， 2.0，3.0，and 4.0. The development of digital logistics not only requires the use of advanced digital technology ，but also the advanced logistics management technology ；and such technologies as over- stocking，digital twins，and robust optimization methods are beneficial to improving the efficiency of digital logistics. Digital logistics has been applied to various fields and scenarios such as emergency logistics，cold chain logistics，urban waste removal，and cross- border trade. However，most companies are still in the initial stage of digital logistics and have not yet realized the integration and shared application of digital logistics data；the system link of the“Five Flows Integration”（i.e.，the integration of such five flows as business flow material flow，capital flow，data flow，and information flow）has not yet been formed；and a small number of companies build digital logistics centers to realize the integrated application of digital logistics. To promote the development of digital logistics ，we should make innovation in terms of management pattern，business model，and market. Deeply promote the construction of modern digital logistics system is of great significance to the high-quality development of China’s logistics industry.
