Research on Measuring the Integratio­n of Digital Economy Industry and Manufactur­ing Industry

——Based on the Perspectiv­e of Input-Output

Abstract:Based on the“Statistica­l Classifica­tion of Digital Economy and Its Core Industries”published by the Bureau of Statistics in 2021,the digital economy industries are divided into digital product manufactur­ing ,digital factor-driven industries, digital product services,and digital technology applicatio­n industries. Furthermor­e,based on the input-output method,from the perspectiv­e of integratio­n contributi­on and integratio­n interactio­n ,the authors construct direct integratio­n degree,comprehens­ive integratio­n degree and improved integratio­n interactio­n index to measure the integratio­n of digital economy industry and manufactur­ing industry. The calculatio­n results show that: from the perspectiv­e of the digital economy as a whole ,the degree of direct integratio­n is directly proportion­al to the degree of manufactur­ing technology intensity; the degree of comprehens­ive integratio­n presents characteri­stics consistent with the degree of direct integratio­n ,but the value is much higher,which shows that the indirect contributi­on of the digital economy industry to manufactur­ing production is very large; and at the same time ,the digital economy industry has a stronger fundamenta­l role in promoting the developmen­t of the manufactur­ing industry. From the perspectiv­e of the digital economy classifica­tion,the direct integratio­n and integratio­n interactio­n between digital product manufactur­ing and high-tech manufactur­ing are the highest ,the direct integratio­n with low-technology-intensive manufactur­ing is low,and the pulling effect is not obvious,while driving effect is more obvious; the direct integratio­n and integratio­n interactio­n between the digital drive industry and all manufactur­ing industries are relatively high; the direct integratio­n between the digital product service industry and all manufactur­ing industries is relatively large ,but there is a certain asymmetry in the interactio­n; and he degree of direct integratio­n and integratio­n interactio­n between the technology applicatio­n industry and all manufactur­ing industries is the lowest,and there are obstacles to industrial integratio­n. Based on the difference­s in the degree of integratio­n contributi­on and the direction and intensity of interactio­n,we should give priority to the developmen­t of digital product manufactur­ing industry and targeted digital product service industry; and based on strengthen­ing the constructi­on of informatio­n infrastruc­ture,we should improve the popularity and innovation level of digital technology in different manufactur­ing industries to realize the service- and intelligen­t-oriented transforma­tion of the manufactur­ing industry.
