Measurement of the Modernization Level of China's Industrial Chain and Supply Chain and Its Spatial Dynamic Evolution

Abstract：The modernization of the industrial chain and supply chain is an important driving force for the development of the real economy and an important starting point for promoting process of Chinese modernization. Based on the panel data of 31 provinces from 2011 to 2021，a multi-dimensional index system of the modernization level of China's industrial chain and supply chain is constructed from the perspectives of digital，resilience，innovation，green and security；the entropy method is used to give weight to and measure the modernization level of industrial chain and supply chain ；Dagum Gini coefficient is used to analyze the modernization differences of industrial chain and supply chain and their sources ；the spatial kernel density estimation method is used to further explore the spatial differences ；and Moran' I index is used to test the spatial correlation of the modernization level of the industrial chain and supply chain. The research shows that ：the overall level of the modernization of the industrial chain and supply chain in China shows a trend of decreasing first and then increasing ，which takes the whole-eastern region-central region-western region as a ladder，and the rate of increasing is decreasing in turn ；at the same time，the spatial correlation of the modernization development of industrial chain and supply chain presents a U-shaped trend. China should ，first， strengthen digital empowerment，promote the innovative development of green technology，improve the measurement system of industrial chain and supply chain modernization，realize the modern co- governance of industrial chain and supply chain from multi- dimension and multi- element ；second，China should fully understand the significant regional development gaps of industrial chain and supply chain，and the imbalanced development within the regions，and establish the new development pattern of industrial chain and supply chain modernization ；and third，China should give full play to the role of correlation effect， promote the development of industrial chain and supply chain modernization of neighboring regions ，narrow the gap of industrial chain and supply chain modernization among regions，and promote the collaborative innovative development of industrial chain and supply chain.
