Research on the Measurement of the Development Level of China's International Consumption Center City and Its Dynamic Evolution

Abstract：International consumption center city is the advanced form carrier of consumption. The authors construct the evaluation index system of international consumption center city development from such five dimensions as international popularity，consumption prosperity，commercial activity，arrival convenience and consumption satisfaction，measure the development level of international consumption center city with the help of entropy weight- TOPSIS method ，and analyze the dynamic evolution characteristics of China's international consumption center city development by applying the kernel density estimation，convergence analysis，modified gravitational model，and social network analysis method by using 25 competitive cities such as Beijing，Tianjin，Shanghai，Chongqing and Guangzhou，and so on. It is found that：from 2017 to 2022，the development level of China's international consumption center cities rises year by year but is in the stage of low- level development，and the development gap between cities is large and shows the echelon tier distribution ；from the perspective of each dimension，the development level of the four dimensions，namely，international popularity，consumption prosperity， commercial activity and consumption satisfaction ，shows an upward trend，with the consumption prosperity rising the most，and the development level of the degree of convenience of arrival being lower ；absolute development gaps between international consumption center cities are large，but the catching-up effect of cities has led to a narrowing of relative gaps ；In terms of spatial pattern，the "Beijing + Tianjin"agglomeration circle has been formed in the north region ，the "Guangzhou + Shenzhen" agglomeration circle has been formed in the south region ，and the overall spatial network pattern of "two circles and one belt" has been initially formed in Yangtze River connection belt taking Shanghai as the leading city ，showing the characteristics of the dispersal effect of "global agglomeration of the high and local diffusion of the low" ，and the uneven spatial connection between cities of "the core city dominates and the structure of the edge city is optimized". Therefore ，we should，based on the comparative advantages， deeply explore and gradually cultivate growth point of specific consumption ， perfect urban transportation infrastructure，focus on the building of modern comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network ，timely understand the dynamic changing process of China's international consumption center cities and optimize the spacial distribution of urban consumption resources from multi-layer，pay more attention to spacial network structural characteristics of China's international consumption center cities development，and gradually form the consumption spacial development pattern of promoting the overall development with the help of the focused point，expanding the capacity with the help of circles，and optimizing the structure.
