Ed­u­ca­tion project to tackle poverty

PSBC Con­sumer Finance launched an ed­u­ca­tion project in the Ti­bet au­ton­o­mous re­gion to re­duce poverty in the area in Septem­ber. Dur­ing the week­long event, 12 vol­un­teers from around the coun­try trav­eled to the re­gion to de­liver tu­to­ri­als and work­shops on var­i­ous sub­jects to lo­cal chil­dren. Luo Zhian, who sits on the board of su­per­vi­sors of PSBC Con­sumer Finance, said ed­u­ca­tion is needed to elim­i­nate poverty, but the key to ed­u­cat­ing the next gen­er­a­tion is to en­cour­age them to study. He called for com­pa­nies and in­sti­tu­tions to take part to fight against poverty.
