Bei­jing’s per-capita in­come in­creases

China’s cap­i­tal Bei­jing’s gross re­gional do­mes­tic prod­uct growth be­tween Jan­uary and Septem­ber was 6.7 per­cent yearon-year, the mu­nic­i­pal bu­reau of statis­tics an­nounced on Mon­day.

Data showed the city’s GDP in the first three quar­ters of 2018 was about $310 bil­lion.

The growth was 0.1 per­cent­age points lower than it was dur­ing the first half of the year, ac­cord­ing to the bu­reau.

Fang Xiao­dan, spokesper­son for the Bei­jing in­ves­ti­ga­tion team un­der the Na­tional Bu­reau of Statis­tics, said the per-capita dis­pos­able in­come in Bei­jing for the first nine months in­creased 8.9 per­cent year-on-year, a re­sult of mul­ti­ple pref­er­en­tial poli­cies car­ried out by the mu­nic­i­pal gov­ern­ment.
