LG says everyone must help stem breaches

China Daily European Weekly - - BUSINESS -

South Korean mobile device maker LG Electronics Inc said the responsibility for protecting user privacy falls not just on one single company but on all players in the industry. LG, which makes Android phones, also said on March 27 that the role of handset makers in preventing the type of data flap such as the Facebook data scandal is unclear. It said in a statement that “privacy is everyone’s responsibility — software providers, carriers, as well as device manufacturers”.
