University starts Silk Road College
Renmin University of China opened a new school named for the Silk Road on May 23 at its Suzhou campus in Jiangsu province. The newly launched Silk Road College plans to enroll 50 to 100 students from countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative in September. It aims to cultivate high-end international professionals and future leaders who are passionate about Chinese culture and have a deep understanding of the country’s development path, models and experiences. All students will be offered comprehensive scholarships covering full tuition, as well as subsidies for living expenses and medical insurance, for the two-year master’s program.
