World’s long­est rail­way arch bridge com­pleted

The world’s long­est rail­way arch bridge was com­pleted on Dec 10 across the Nu­jiang River in Yun­nan province. The bridge mea­sures 1,024 me­ters long and is nearly 25 me­ters wide, ac­cord­ing to China Rail­way Con­struc­tion Corp. It is a key project on the 220-kilo­me­ter Dali-Ruili rail­way, which forms a link in the Chi­naMyan­mar in­ter­na­tional rail­way cor­ri­dor con­nect­ing Kun­ming, the cap­i­tal of Yun­nan, with Yan­gon, the cap­i­tal of Myan­mar.
