At LeEco, Gao to lead A-P, HK teams, Zhang sales
LeEco, a Chinese tech major, has appointed Gao Jun as head of its business in the Asia-pacific region and CEO of its Hong Kong affiliate. It also named Zhang Zhiwei as head of the recently launched sales-and-service platform. Gao, a Huawei veteran of 17 years’ experience, joined LeEco only two months ago. Zhang has been managing the group’s marketing arm LePar. The management reshuffle follows a recent round of funding that raised $600 million under the leadershipf of Jia Yueting, founder and CEO of LeEco.
Noto replaces Bain as Twitter COO post jobcuts
Adam Bain has stepped down as COO of Twitter, following the company’s new plan to cut nearly 300 jobs and shut its popular but lowprofit video-sharing app Vine. Twitter’s CFO Anthony Noto will assume Bain’s role as the COO. He will manage live content business and other revenue generators. In recent years, Twitter has been falling behind in its social network business rivalry with Facebook, Instagram and SnapChat. Its stock price has been falling too. Twitter is on the lookout for a new CFO.
