Norway to test autonomous cars

The Norwegian government aims to pass a law in the spring of next year to allow companies to test self-driving vehicles on Nor wegian roads, it said on Thursday. The move to permit autonomous vehicle testing is aimed at giving a competitive edge to Nor wegian technology companies, as the countr y seeks to diversify away from the offshore petroleum sector, which has been hit by a plunge in global oil prices.
