Overseas business brings Geely joy

Carmaker Geely saw sales surge in both domestic and overseas markets in July, the company announced on Monday. Total sales volume of Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd stood at 120,277 units in July, up 32 percent from the same period last year, the company said in a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Month on month, sales volume was down about 6 percent. Geely’s exports jumped around 146 percent year-on-year to 2,502 units in July, while sales volume in the domestic market hit 117,775 units, up 31 percent from a year earlier.
