Vietnam gets $4.8b from wood exports

Vietnam gained over $4.8 billion from exporting wood and wood-based products in the first seven months of this year, up 13.4 percent year-on-year, the Wood & Forest Products Association of Vietnam said on Monday. In July, the country earned $720 million from exporting wood and woodwork, down 4 percent against June. Vietnam is most likely to make wood and woodwork export turnover of some $9 billion in 2018, up from over $7.6 billion in 2017.
