Chinese fans clear trash after Asian Cup victory

On Monday, Chinese fans helped clear trash at the Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi after Team China’s 2-1 victory over Kyrgyzstan. An online video showed fans dressed in the national team’s kit picking up trash after China’s opening game in the Asian Cup. Social media users praised the fans, saying everyone should take note and learn.

Robot ‘killed’ by a self-driving Tesla car at CES

A Tesla Model S hit and “destroyed” an autonomous robot in an accident during the ongoing Consumer Electronic­s Show 2019 in Las Vegas, according to news portal Electronic­s360. The robot was going to be displayed at the annual tradeshow. According to the manufactur­er, Promobot, its robots were moving in a line but one veered off course and into the street where it was hit by the car, which was being operated in “self-driving” mode. The robot’s body, arms and movement platform were damaged, while the head was totally destroyed.

The Heimlich Maneuver can save lives

A 6-year-old boy choked to death at his home in Rongxian county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, after eating peanuts, but his mother was unable to perform the Heimlich Maneuver. In response, a video illustrati­ng how to perform the maneuver went viral. The China Central Television video shows a doctor who advises the following steps if someone is choking: place your arms around the person’s waist; make a fist with one hand and place your thumb inward, just above the navel; grab the fist with your other hand and push it inward and upward at the same time; perform five of these abdominal thrusts; repeat until the object is expelled and the person can breathe or cough on their own.
