7 million hectares of trees planted

China planted trees on 7.07 million hectares of land last year, according to the National Forestry and Grassland Administration’s working conference on Thursday in Hefei, Anhui province. This year, the country plans to plant trees on another 6.67 million hectares. The administration said it also aimed to promote voluntary tree-planting in various ways among the public this year.
