State Grid Corp elevates Kou Wei to chairman

State Grid Corp of China, a State-owned electricit­y-related services provider, named Kou Wei (pictured) as chairman and secretary of the Party committee. Kou took over from Shu Yinbiao. Kou’s previous role of general manager was handled by his deputy Xin Baoan. Kou has been in the industry for over 30 years. Prior, he served China Huaneng Group Co Ltd as chief engineer and deputy general manager. He also served as chairman of its subsidiary Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Inc and as secretary of its Party committee.

China Datang promotes Chen Feihu to top job

State-owned energy group China Datang Corp appointed Chen Feihu as chairman and secretary of the Party committee. He took over from Chen Jinxing, who retired last August. Prior, Chen Feihu served as the general manager and as interim chairman after Chen Jinxing’s retirement. Before joining China Datang, Chen Feihu served as deputy general manager and a member of the Party committee at energy group China Huadian Corp Ltd, and as board director, general manager, and deputy secretary of the Party committee at China Guodian.

Liu Hui succeeds Hu Po as head of Nanfang

Food supplier Nanfang Black Sesame has appointed Liu Hui as president. He took over from Hu Po who was appointed vicechairm­an. The company’s board of directors have expressed their appreciati­on for both Liu and Hu for their contributi­ons during their tenures. An industry veteran, Liu has served RedBull China and Jiaduobao Group before joining Nanfang Black Sesame.

Huarong AMC names Chen Yanqing as VP

China Huarong Asset Management Co Ltd appointed Chen Yanqing as its vice-president. Prior, Chen held several executive roles at China Cinda Asset Management Co Ltd, including deputy general manager for asset management, and general manager for business developmen­t. Chen’s appointmen­t follows a series of adjustment­s to senior management at Huarong. The company announced late November the resignatio­n of Wang Lihua, former executive board director, vice-president, a member for the company’s committee of strategic developmen­t. Wang was also a member for the committee of risk management.

Pacific Insurance effects top-level appointmen­ts

China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co Ltd appointed Zhao Yonggang and Ma Xin as deputy general managers, and Deng Bin as assistant general manager. The decisions were approved by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and took effect on Dec 29. Prior, Zhao held several executive roles in CPIC’s multiple subsidiari­es, and has years of experience in human resources. An industry veteran, Ma will work concurrent­ly as the secretary of the board of directors, and as a director in charge of the company’s strategic transition. His additional responsibi­lities include that of general manager for strategic planning.
