Capital’s subway launches day passes

Beijing’s subway system began offering passengers five more ticket options on Sunday, the municipal transportation commission said. Passengers can ride without limit on all subway lines except the Airport Express, with passes good for one to seven days and priced from 20 yuan ($3) to 90 yuan. Passengers can download the Yitongxing app to purchase e-tickets for the subway. A commission spokesman said the passes will be convenient for visitors to Beijing, saving time and avoiding chaos at metro stations.
