Chinese divers shine at Rostock competition

Wei Ying led a Chinese one-two in the women’s 3-meter springboard final at the International Swimming Federation Diving Grand Prix in Rostock, Germany, on Saturday.

Wei produced a strong series of dives to finish on top of the podium with a total of 317.20 points and enjoyed a comfortable cushion over teammate Huang Xiaohui.

Huang took the silver with 309.75 points, with Russia’s Uliana Kliueva rounding off the podium places with a score of 300.30.

There was also Chinese success in the men’s 10m synchronized platform competition, as Zhang Peng and Zhang Wenao took the gold medal with a tally of 385.14 points.
