Media brief­ing on work re­port to look at prepa­ra­tion

The State Coun­cil In­for­ma­tion Of­fice will hold a media brief­ing in Beijing on Mon­day on the Gov­ern­ment Work Re­port. Huang Shouhong, head of the re­port’s draft­ing team and di­rec­tor of the State Coun­cil Re­search Of­fice, will in­tro­duce the prepara­tory work for the re­port. The Gov­ern­ment Work Re­port will be de­liv­ered by Premier Li Ke­qiang on Mon­day. The event will be open to re­porters from home and abroad. The 2018 Win­ter Par­a­lympics is sched­uled tp run from Fri­day to March 18 in Pyeongchang, the Repub­lic of Korea. China has sent a 26-ath­lete del­e­ga­tion to compete, in­clud­ing six fe­male ath­letes, with an av­er­age age of 25. Zhang Haidi, chair­woman of China Dis­abled Per­sons’ Fed­er­a­tion, is the head of the del­e­ga­tion. The Na­tional Bureau of Sta­tis­tics will re­lease eco­nomic data for Fe­bru­ary on Fri­day, in­clud­ing the con­sumer price in­dex and the pro­ducer price in­dex. The CPI is the main gauge of in­fla­tion, while the PPI in­di­cates changes in whole­sale prices. In Jan­uary, the CPI rose by 1.5 per­cent year-onyear, and the PPI rose by 4.3 per­cent.
