Hainan wel­comes med­i­cal tech­nol­ogy

Liu Cigui, Hainan prov­ince’s Party sec­re­tary, said dur­ing a visit to the China In­ter­na­tional Im­port Expo on Tues­day that Hainan wel­comes com­pa­nies with the world’s most ad­vanced med­i­cal tech­nol­ogy, prod­ucts and ser­vices to start busi­nesses on the is­land and take ad­van­tage of the pref­er­en­tial poli­cies granted to the Boao Lecheng In­ter­na­tional Med­i­cal Tourism Pilot Zone. A demon­stra­tion project launched in 2013, the zone has been granted nine pref­er­en­tial poli­cies by the State, in­clud­ing spe­cial per­mis­sion to im­port med­i­cal tech­nol­ogy, med­i­cal equip­ment and medicines, and per­mis­sion to con­duct cut­ting-edge stem cell re­search.
