Safe return

China Daily (USA) - - CHINA -

A collection of 120,000 Chinese ceramics makes its way through customs in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on a return voyage from the United Kingdom. The ceramics sank with the Chinese merchant ship Taixing, which capsized en route to Indonesia in 1822. They were later salvaged by an Australian company and auctioned to collectors overseas. Zheng Changlai, president of Waterside Culture, a Beijing-based enterprise, purchased the ceramics from a UK collector last month.
