South Korea sees im­ported car sales rise

Im­ported car sales in South Korea kept ris­ing in Novem­ber on de­mand for Ger­man lux­ury mod­els, although the growth rate slowed down, in­dus­try data showed. The num­ber of newly reg­is­tered im­ported ve­hi­cles was 22,387 in Novem­ber, up 0.5 per­cent from a year ear­lier, ac­cord­ing to the Korea Au­to­mo­bile Im­porters & Dis­trib­u­tors As­so­ci­a­tion. The growth rate was down from a 23.6 per­cent in­crease in Oc­to­ber. In the first 11 months of this year, im­ported car sales grew 13 per­cent to 240,255 units com­pared with the same pe­riod last year.
