China Daily - - BUSINESS -

Audi China, subsidiary of Audi AG, named Thomas Owsianski (pictured) as its next president. Owsianski will succeed Joachim Wedler from the fourth quarter of this year. Owsianski joined the management team from Aug 1. Alexander Seitz, Audi’s board member of finance, said Owsianski’s experience in sales and marketing makes him the best candidate for the position. Prior, Owsianski served as an executive director at SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co Ltd and was responsible for sales and marketing of the Skoda brand. Owsianski also worked in other leading auto companies like Ford Motor Co and General Motors Co.
