Boiling water challenge leaves several scalded

The “boiling water challenge” sent several people to the hospital in the Chicago, Illinois, during the region’s recent subzero weather. In the challenge, people throw hot water into the air outdoors in freezing temperatures to see it turn to steam patterns. Doctors said bad aim has landed scalding water on people instead of sending it into the air. People can be seriously scalded if they accidentally spill boiling water onto their feet or spray it onto someone’s face or body, they warned.
