117-year-old doesn’t drink or smoke

Zhang Xueli, a 117-year-old native of Jiaxian county, Henan province, can still take care of himself. He walks with the aid of a cane and speaks clearly. He has never consumed alcohol or smoked cigarettes. “My father is good-tempered and open minded,” said his daughter Zhang Yuan, 73, the youngest of three. Jiaxian is known as a center of longevity in China. There are 62 centenarians living in the county.
