Oc­to­ber 30, Bei­jing: Women dressed in Tang-Dy­nasty (618-907) cos­tumes per­form at a show by de­signer Chu Yan for the China Fash­ion Week Spring/ Sum­mer 2019 at Bei­jing Ho­tel.

This year’s China Fash­ion Week opened on Oc­to­ber 25 with the par­tic­i­pa­tion of 150 de­sign­ers from home and abroad. The nine- day event in­cluded a to­tal of 96 shows, a record vol­ume.

Un­der the theme “Thriv­ing to­wards the Sun,” the event pro­moted Chi­nese fash­ion by show­cas­ing Chi­nese spirit, val­ues and strength. Once again, de­sign­ers fea­tured at this year’s China Fash­ion Week took in­spi­ra­tion from the in­her­i­tance and in­no­va­tion of tra­di­tional Chi­nese cul­ture.
