Enamel Art: East Meets West

It is believed that ancient Egyptians integrated glass and metal craftsmanship to develop enamel production techniques. After thousands of years of evolution and trade exchange, enamel products spread to China around the 12th century. Although the brightly colored and exquisitely crafted works originated in the West, they eventually blossomed into beautiful artistic flowers in the ancient Eastern country.

Nowadays, the items once reserved for royal collections are widely used in daily life, adding a touch of color to the aesthetics of modern Chinese art.
