How to Make a Thangka?

Traditional thangka drawing has strict requirements and extremely complicated procedures. It must be carried out in accordance with scriptures and the requirements of a guru. There is a complete set of processes such as pre-painting rituals, canvas making, drafting, coloring and dyeing, outline drawing and shaping, and gold and silver laying. It takes a long time to make a thangka painting, ranging from six months to even a decade.
