50th Anniversary of Return to the United Nation
On October 25, 1971, the 26th United Nation General Assembly passed Resolution 2758 by an overwhelming majority, restoring all rights of the People’s Republic of China in the United Nations and recognizing that the representatives of the Government of the People’s Republic of China are the only legitimate representatives of China in the United Nations.
Since then, China’s diplomacy has welcomed a new age, being devoted to the international multilateral arena with a more active, positive, and open attitude. A series of efforts continuously improved China’s prestige and role in the United Nations.
