Foreign Enterprises Progress Together with China
Foreign enterprises have flocked to the Chinese market since the adoption of the reform and opening-up policy, some 30 years ago. By 2015, China had drawn the most foreign investment for 24 consecutive years, so confirming its role among developing countries as a world leader in this respect. While greatly benefiting from China’s enormous market, foreign companies have also introduced capital, advanced technologies and management experience. They have at the same time brought benefits to Chinese society.
Though some have decided in recent years to leave this market, others are stepping up their investments. A recent survey by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development revealed that China heads the list of the world’s most promising investment destinations for 2016 and 2017.
