Reelected Zimbabwean president
Zimbabwe Electoral Commission declared that current President emmerson mnangagwa has won the nation’s presidential election on August 3. According to the counting result, Mnangagwa received 2,460,463 votes, which accounted for 50.8 percent of the total votes. His biggest rival, Nelson Chamisa from opposition MDC Alliance, got 2,147,436 votes After election. While delivering a speech at the commemoration of Heroes Day in Harare on August 13, Mnangagwa urged Zimbabweans to focus on rebuilding the economy. He called on Zimbabwean people to shun political differences and to unite for the good of the nation.
