Namibia’s Youngest Member of Parliament

Emma Theofilus

was recently appointed deputy minister of Namibia’s Ministry of Information and Technology.

The 23-year-old law graduate became Namibia’s youngest Member of Parliament.

Her ascendancy to the deputy ministerial position has had many people question her experience and suitability for the post, but Theofilus confidently shot down such assertions.

“Anything I set myself to and any environment I want to work in, I can do so [sic], the issue of inexperience does not hold any water,” she stressed.
