The Astana Expo 2017, which lasted for 93 days, closed on September 10. China Pavilion was awarded a silver medal for its unique and creative theme at this global event.

China Pavilion, which has stood out from the pavilions of 115 countries and 22 international organizations, won the silver award for its theme at the Astana Expo 2017. The gold medals for theme and design were awarded to Germany and Russia respectively.

This is another important award bestowed to China Pavilion following the two awarded at the Yeosu Expo 2012 and the Milan Expo 2015 respectively.

The trophy for the award was presented to Wang Jinzhen, Government Representative of China Pavilion, also Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) by Akhmetzhan Yessimov, Chairman of Board of Astana Expo 2017 National Company on September 9, one day prior to the closing ceremony of the Expo.

Themed at “Future Energy, Green Silk Road”, China Pavilion is one of the largest pavilions at the Expo. Meanwhile, China Pavilion also marks the first one to have its construction completed and one of the most complicated one in construction and structure. More importantly, China Pavilion is the first one to have its trial operation.
